Safe & Sound: Cultivating a Whole-human, Trauma-informed Approach for Employee and Employer Well-being

Trauma touches every human life, yet fear, stigma and misunderstanding often keep us from addressing it openly. “Safe & Sound: Cultivating a Whole-human, Trauma-informed Approach for Employee and Employer Well-being” by Anita Roach reveals how recognizing trauma in the workplace can transform employee well-being and drive organizational success. Through compelling research, sound practices and personal storytelling, this groundbreaking guide demonstrates how psychologically unsafe workplace practices trigger our natural trauma responses—fight, flight, freeze and fawn. It also shows how trauma-impacted individuals, when properly supported, bring unique strengths like creativity, empathy and resilience that uplift entire organizations.
