Her consulting firm Compu-Perfect Professional Services specializes in business entity formation, securing federal 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) tax-exempt status, contract drafting, copyright and trademark searches and registrations and estate planning services. What inspired you to start your business?
My dad inspired me to start my business, rather than working for someone else, which limits your time, talents and resources.
What was the first step to starting your business?
The first step was choosing the name of my business and determining the services I would offer.
Describe your company in three words.
- Empower
- Transform
- Elevate

What’s one mistake you made early on in your business, and what did you learn from it?
I learned that it is important to provide a diverse range of services, rather than limiting offerings to just one or two. A wider selection of services attracts a larger client base with varying needs. Multiple service streams create more ways to generate income and reduce reliance on a single source. If demand decreases for one service, others can help sustain the business.
What excites you about your work?
I have successfully guided numerous individuals in realizing their entrepreneurial dreams and establishing impactful nonprofit organizations. Through my strategic guidance, I have enabled clients to extend the reach of their programs and services, ultimately transforming the lives of countless men, women and children.
What’s a business myth you’d love to bust?
“Everyone should start their own business” is a myth. Not everyone has the calling and perseverance to maintain a business.
What’s your proudest business milestone so far?
I have authored 18 books that focus on ministry, business and nonprofits:
- Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts
- Seeking the Face of God
- You Are God’s Masterpiece
- Christian Mentoring Guide for Women
- You Are Called to Greatness
