September Grants: Your Entrepreneurial Harvest Awaits

As we flip our calendars and watch the first leaves fall, new opportunities beckon. These September grants and money resources offer a practical cornucopia of options for female entrepreneurs. With the changing season, it’s the perfect time to nurture your business and secure the financial support needed to help it thrive. Don’t miss out on the chance to turn your autumn aspirations into a fruitful reality!

Nurture your business with some September grants:

1) Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund

  • What: $10,000 grants.
  • For: U.S. restaurants impacted by natural disasters.
  • Deadline: Sept. 29th, 6 p.m. EST

2) Fresh Start Business Grant

  • What: $2,500 for business startup costs and free formation services from Incfile.
  • For: Entrepreneurs who are 21 and older and hope to start or grow their business.
  • Deadline: Sept. 30th.

3) HerRise MicroGrants

  • What: $1,000 microgrants
  • For: women of color entrepreneurs, including nonprofit founders, small business owners and military founders.
  • Deadline: Sept. 30th (or the last day of every month).

4) Young Entrepreneur Scholarship Grant

  • What: $2,500 for education expenses.
  • For: aspiring entrepreneurs who are students (high school senior, undergraduate, graduate or trade school) with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Deadline: Sept. 30th.

5) StartHER Grant

  • What: 25 $5,000 grants (a total of $125,000).
  • For: women-owned small businesses in Texas.
  • Deadline: applications open on Sept. 22nd and close on Oct. 20th at 5 p.m.

6) Amazon’s Black Business Accelerator

  • What: a $500 credit, three years of sponsored digital certifications, education, coaching and marketing support.
  • For: Black business owners with an Amazon Professional Sellers account, a physical product ready to sell and a valid minority-owned business registration or certification.
  • Deadline: none.

7) SBA Women’s Business Centers

  • What: a network of business centers with free (or low-cost) counseling and training opportunities.
  • For: women starting, growing and scaling small businesses.
  • Where: all across the U.S.! Check out the SBA website to find your nearest location.

8) The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Programs

  • What: grants for small businesses participating in research and development.
  • For: small businesses in the United States.
  • Deadline: none.

9) Wish Local Empowerment Program

  • What: $500 to $2000 in grants.
  • For: Black-owned small businesses.
  • Deadline: none.

10) Founders First CDC’s National Kitty Fund

  • What: $1,000 grants for 25 mompreneuers (a total of $25,000).
  • For: mothers with small businesses that have two or more employees.
  • Deadline: pre-registration for 2024 is open now.
