BOSTON — Jack and Ferdi are offering a sneak peek at their new mobile app designed to meet the needs of the growing blesiure market (a trip that combines business and leisure). A recent study by Expedia found that 60 percent of all U.S. trips now fall into the blesiure category.
The app identifies five things to see, five things to eat, five views to enjoy and five meeting workspaces based on the user’s profile, location and travel objectives. The app offers the user an authentic local experience for 80 cities, as well as extras like the best local running routes, local business protocol and showcases local charities.
“All suggestions are curated by our team of City Ambassadors,” said Anne-Fleur Andrle, cofounder and CEO. “They possess in-depth knowledge of their area and can help bleisure travelers enjoy their trips to the fullest extent and avoid airport-gift-shop-gift-giving in favor of truly authentic gifts for their loved ones.”
Jack and Ferdi is currently running a crowdfunding campaign on IFundWomen through July 11, 2018. Funders who support the campaign can choose from a variety of perks including:
- Early access and a 12-month subscription to the app
- A Jack & Ferdi tote bag
- A coaching session with Prof. Julie Battilana from Harvard Business School. She teaches organizational behavior and is also the founder and academic co-director of the Social Innovation and Change Initiative.
Founded by serial entrepreneurs Anne Fleur Andrle and Romain Aubanel, Jack and Ferdi is currently in beta with plans to launch in the fall.
