Fall is Here, and So Are Our September Money Resources!

September’s just arrived, and with it, the end of the summer. Golden leaves and pumpkin-spiced lattes are around the corner. While you stay cozy at home thinking about how to elevate your business, we’ve found EIGHT September money resources to help you out this fall 2022!

Explore eight money resources:

The Entrepreneurial Spirit Fund by SIA Scotch

  • For: for-profit businesses owned 51 percent+ by people of color. They must be producing less than $5M in annual revenue, in at least one of the following states: CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, MA, MN, NJ, NV, NY, RI, and/or TX. They can NOT be an alcohol beverage retail license holder or a business that makes alcohol.
  • What: each recipient will receive a $10,000 grant plus mentorship with Carin Luna-Ostaseski, the founder of SIA Scotch Whisky.
  • Deadline: September 26, 2022, at 6 pm ET.

Sephora Accelerate

  • For: beauty founders who are people of color.
  • What: mentoring from beauty founders, industry resources for retail and branding launch.
  • Deadline: September 26, 2022.

Fearless Strivers Grant Contest — Eighth Period

  • For: Black women-owned small businesses.
  • What: $10,000 in grants, mentoring and additional resources for 11 winners.
  • Deadline: September 30 for the eighth entry period.
    • Note: The contest has 11 entry periods between Feb. 10 and Dec. 31. One winner will be selected from each period. See the Official Rules for more dates and period deadlines.

Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund

  • For: independently-owned businesses experiencing hardship due to a state or federally declared natural disaster. Must have a brick-and-mortar location, with three stores or fewer currently operating. Must have revenues of $3M or less per location in the last 12 months. Must employ 50 people or fewer per store.
  • What: The fund supports restaurants impacted by natural disasters like fires, floods and hurricanes, and provides relief through $10,000 grants.
  • Deadline: September 30, 2022, at 6 pm ET.

The Amber Grant

  • For: all types of women-owned businesses.
  • What: each month, the judges review all the applications, then select five finalists. One of those finalists will be the monthly $10,000 Amber Grant grant winner. The other four finalists will each receive $1,000.
  • Deadline: September 30, 2022, 11:59pm ET.

The Small Business Growth Fund

  • For: for-profit businesses that have less than $1M in 2021 gross annual revenue.
  • What: each recipient will receive a $5,000 grant, provided by Mastercard.
  • Deadline: October 14, 2022, at 6 p.m. ET.

Comcast Rise

  • For: independently operated small businesses owned by at least 51 percent of people of color or women.
  • What: selected businesses could receive support with consulting, media, creative production, technology and a monetary grant.
  • Deadline: October 16, 2022.

Hatch Enterprise Accelerator Program

  • For: businesses based in the UK, with an annual turnover of £50k and above.
  • What: mentoring from experts and other entrepreneurs; networking and events, and membership of Hatch’s community of founders.
  • Deadline: January 2023, fortnightly 10 am-3 pm, ET.
