BOXFOX: The New Way Of Gift Giving

Chelsea Moore, Jenni Olivero and Sebena Suri have stumbled upon a new way to innovate gift giving. As founders of BoxFox, the trio's software platform allows users to customize over a million possible unique boxes with the click of a mouse.

Sneaking away on work lunches or hustling around at the end of a long day at the office to grab a last-minute gift is not the ideal way to shop. Wanting to make gift-giving a bit more creative and a lot easier, BOXFOX was created by three women who didn’t want to waste any more time.

An idea that started in an apartment in Venice, Calif., BOXFOX now flourishing and onto their third warehouse with a team of 13 amazing people.

Chelsea Moore, Jenni Olivero and Sebena Suri became the founders of BOXFOX after graduating college and realizing that though their time was limited, their relationships were still important to them. The trio put their heads together to find a better way to customize a unique and thoughtful gift.

“BOXFOX was an answer to a need that Chelsea, Sabena, and I had felt ourselves. Right after college, all of our friends were suddenly all over the country, and in that post-grad transition, it became clear that we were going to need to put more energy into our friendships and relationships,” Olivero said. “The three of us put our heads together and asked, why hasn’t anyone made gifting easier? Could we create a marketplace of all our favorite brands all in one place? We didn’t want to take the fun out of putting together a custom gift, we just wanted to make it simpler to celebrate our relationships. We always believed in BOXFOX because we wanted to help other working women like ourselves gift better,” she said.

BOXFOX is a software platform that allows users to customize over a million possible unique boxes. Whether the occasion is a birthday, graduation or anything in between, there are options for everyone. BOXFOX offers popular brand names such as Compartes Chocolate, Sugarfina, Voluspa, Tocca, ban.do and Herbivore Botanicals.

Olivero explained, “It’s been our mission from the beginning to bring gifting to the 21st century — it’s the reason we started and continues to remain at the core of everything we do. Beyond Build A BOXFOX, we’ve made it easier for our customers to order with us for their most important occasions by timing their shipments with our “Hold For The Holidays” feature and continuously serve as thought leaders in the gifting space through our weekly Fox Tale newsletter.”
