A couple of weeks ago we told you about Third & Loom CEO Brenna Lyden. At 22 years old, she is heading the Seattle-based startup that brings couture dresses to the everyday woman.

She’s swinging by again to share her outlook on breaking new ground and becoming sustainable. We asked her what advice she would give to another woman breaking into her market and Lyden said you have to be relentless.

“Be completely tenacious and relentless in the pursuit of your dreams. Make every connection you can, because it might be the key that unlocks your dream job (like meeting Tony was for me),” she explained. “Build your skill set up far beyond a degree and make it as easy for other people to say yes to you as possible.”

Her thoughts on creating a sustainable business:

Lyden said, “If you are obsessive about your customer and either create or improve upon an in demand item, have at least five points of differentiation so it is extremely competitive in the market.”
