Fall In Love with These February Money Resources!

On this Valentine’s Day, make sure to give a hard-working entrepreneur such as yourself the best gift of them all: funding for your business! Our February money resources will shower with love all your business goals while you focus on the next step.

1. The M2D2 $200K Challenge

  • What: The $200,000 Challenge is an annual start-up competition hosted by M2D2. Fifteen finalists will become eligible to win a share of $200,000 purse of sponsor-provided, in-kind services.
  • For: startups related to medical devices and biotechnology.
  • Deadline: February 12, 2023.

2. The SBIR Targeted Technologies (START) Program

  • What: grants up to $500,000, and business guidance
  • For: MA-based, SBIR Phase II companies.
  • Deadline: February 21, 2023.

3. MassCEC Catalyst & Diversity in Cleantech Early Stage (DICES) Program

  • What: grants of up to $75,000—DICES awards two additional grants of up to $75,000.
  • For: MA-based non-profits or startups that are at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 1-4 owned by women or minorities.
  • Deadline: March 16, 2023.

4. Cleantech Open 2023 CTO Accelerator

  • What: mentoring, training, networking, up to $150,000 in cash prizes, and up to $50,000 of in-kind services.
  • For: tech start-ups.
  • Deadline: April 16, 2023.

5. The Empower Digital Grant

  • What: up to $5,000 and a partnership with a Small Business Technical Assistance.
  • For: Massachusetts-based small businesses owned by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.
  • Deadline: June 30, 2023.

6. The Fearless Fund

  • What: pre-seed, seed level, or series A financing.
  • For: businesses owned by women of color.
  • Deadline: applications are reviewed on a month-to-month basis.

7. The Ganas Ventures Fund

  • What: $100K checks, pre-seed and seed.
  • For: early-stage community-driven companies in the US and Latin America.
  • Deadline: none, rolling application.

8. Power Forward Small Business Grant

  • What: grants of $25,000 plus design and marketing resources.
  • For: black-owned small businesses across New England.
  • Deadline: none, rolling application.
