Our favorite entrepreneur Drew Barrymore recently swung by the Today show to chat with Savannah Guthrie. In addition to film producing, cosmetics, owning her own wine and publishing her autobiography “Wildflower,” the star is taking on her most important role to date: mom.
Barrymore, 40, said, “I do think I have a responsibility to tell my daughters why I feel the way I feel about things, why I’ve become this person, how I became the person. The truth and nothing but the truth.”
In her autobiography, Barrymore talks about everything from her less traditional relationship with her mother to suffering from postpartum depression after giving birth to her second daughter.
In true Barrymore fashion, she pokes fun at herself revealing that it wasn’t just learning how to do laundry that did her in, but also putting pesky IKEA furniture together. “I feel like I can run a company, but that IKEA furniture still to this day … I’m like ‘how is that going to erect itself?'” Barrymore joked.
