Burning bras but she’s building bridges

From all of us here at Lioness, I want to thank you for checking out our new website and for your continued support of our publication. We’re always thrilled to share with you some of our stories as well as the tales of those trailblazing entrepreneurs we all aspire to be.

Burning bras but she's building bridges - Lioness MagazineThis is an exciting month for us here at Lioness Magazine as we bring to you our latest form of content distribution. As you’ve noticed, we’re no longer publishing Lioness in a traditional magazine format, rather, we’re stepping up our game and creating an entirely new website available to you 24-7, 365! Not to fear, we’ll still bring you those must-read cover stories and how-to features, they’ll just be more of them thanks to www.lionessmagazine.com.

Speaking of features, our reporter Carley Dangona has shined the spotlight on the world of Mixed Martial Arts promotions with our latest cover story on Karyn Wesch, owner of Premier Fighting Championship. It’s a bloody, high stakes sport, as she’ll tell you, but not just for those in the ring but for the promoters outside of it as well. She says, “I have had the wires ripped out of the truck. I have had a promoter run me off the road – craziness. I feel like I’m burning the bras for all women in the business side of MMA.” Karyn may be burning bras but she’s building bridges in the process – she’s a true Lioness!

Tipping the scales in a more delicate direction is this month’s feature on Melinda Myers, horticulturalist, president and CEO of Melinda Myers LLC. Her passion for the growth of nature around her inspired Melinda to build her business from the ground up (so to speak) and not just as a horticulturalist but also as an author, lecturer and radio host. You can learn a lot from her and not just how to maintain your green thumb.
