Women & Fashion FilmFest (WFF), returning on Nov. 12, is festival and conference gathering leaders in fashion, entertainment and media.

Women & Fashion FilmFest Brings Together The Cream Of The Emerging Artists Crop - Lioness MagazineFounded in 2013, Women & Fashion FilmFest (WFF) is a festival and conference gathering leaders in fashion, entertainment and media to foster social responsibility and create opportunities for women and diverse emerging artists. This Nov. 12-14, the 3rd annual festival will showcase submissions from 21 selected international finalists. The event will be filmed for a 30 minute special on Fashion One, an international TV network with 120MM reached. WFF is endorsed by UNESCO’s International Council for Film, Television & Audiovisual Communication for its artistic and socially minded programming.

Best Webseries Winners will be submitted to Ovation, a WFF Official Media Partner. Liz Janneman, Ovation’s EVP of Network Strategy, will provide feedback to webseries winners. Best Fashion Films will be aired on Fashion One. Sony, WFF’s Official Software Partner, will also offer prizes to winning filmmakers.

WFF opens with a reception Nov. 12 at Seaport Studio, 19 Fulton Street in New York City. Honorary Hosts include: Supermodels Emme, Pat Cleveland, Trish Goff and Maye Musk; Anna Sui; Phillip Bloch; Stephen Burrows; Ralph Rucci; Timothy Greenfield-Sanders; Coumba Toure – Founder Advanced Development for Africa and Global Advisor to Global Fashion 4 Development; Ambassador Henry MacDonald, United Nations He for She Spokesperson; Ambassador Robert Van Lierop, Advisor to the President of the UN General Assembly; Gloria Starr Kins, Editor-in-Chief/Publisher of Society & Diplomatic Review; and Amir Dossal, Executive Director, United Nations Office for Partnerships. Limited tickets are available with donation.

Additionally, WFF will present the following films: #BodyBeaUtiful, a special preview of a documentary by Emme, the 1st curvy supermodel; The Women’s List by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, and Jeremy Scott: The People’s Designer by Vlad Yudin. The screenings will be followed by discussions with filmmakers. Some seats will be offered free to students from select NYC schools and non-profits.

Panels include: Start-up Women: Women Paving New Paths in Film/New Media with Susan Margolin, President, Docurama & Special Acquisitions, Cinedigm; Wendy Ettinger, Co-Founder, Chicken and Egg Productions and Gamechanger Films; Monica Elias, Founder, Elias World Media; and moderator Kibi Anderson, Senior Manager, ABC News Digital; Women Coming of Age: A Sharing of Life Experiences – a discussion on finding self-confidence and empowerment with growing maturity with legendary supermodels Pat Cleveland, Alva Chinn, Trish Goff and Maye Musk mother of entrepreneur Elon Musk; and Art & Commerce: Finding Balance presented by Spirit & Flesh Magazine.

WFF will also launch its SHE WEBFest and online festival featuring webseries, films and panels on November 5th onhttp://www.womenfashfilm.com. The online audience will be able to join special social media events and Twitter chats on @womenfashfilm. Panelists include: Laura Michalchyshyn, President, Sundance Productions; Stephanie Sharis, EVP, Snagfilms; Liz Janneman, EVP, Ovation; Patricia Field, Oscar nominated costume designer of Sex and the City; Robert Verdi, Celebrity Stylist, Roxanne Lowitt, renown celebrity and fashion photographer; Carla Hall, Star of ABC’s The Chew; and Andre Leon Talley, legendary Vogue editor.
