I just shared about one of my favorite teachers on @Elbi to raise awareness for @DonorsChoose and the incredible work they’re doing to support education: While I was in Athens for the launch of HuffPost Greece I had the chance to visit my old high school Hill Memorial School and see one of my favorite teachers, Emily Macroconstandinou, who taught English and was filled with Greek wisdom. I’ll never forget one of the most important lessons she taught me: that I was not limited by my circumstances. So even though I grew up in a one-bedroom apartment in Athens with very little money, she taught me never to put limits to my dreams and to never stop trusting life and myself.
