November’s 10 Standout Grants for Female Entrepreneurs

Leaves are falling, the season’s changing and new opportunities are ripe for the picking. This November, we’ve gathered a collection of accelerators, contests and grants for female entrepreneurs to help you thrive. With over $475,000 in funding up for grabs, there’s no better time to get started!

Cécred x BeyGOOD Salon Business Grant: $10,000

The Cécred x BeyGOOD Fund is offering $10,000 grants to salon business owners in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles and New Jersey. This initiative aims to foster talent, promote professionalism and support stylist entrepreneurship.

Applications close on November 20th, and recipients will be announced on December 20th.

Gusto Impact Awards: $50,000 ($75,000 in bonus prizes)

This year, female entrepreneurs in Charlotte, Dallas, Denver, Houston and Miami have the opportunity to win a grand prize of $50,000. The Gusto Impact Awards will name a winner to receive $40,000 in local advertising and $10,000 in cash, along with a year of free payroll services from Gusto. Additionally, 150 bonus winners – 30 small businesses in each city – will receive $500 Visa gift cards.

Applications are open until November 20th at 4:00 p.m. PT.

Verizon Digital Ready Superfan Grant: $25,000

Want to secure some funding for your business – and win an all-expenses-paid trip to the Super Bowl? Verizon, in partnership with LISC, is offering the Digital Ready Superfan Promotion for businesses that have been in operation for at least a year. Applicants need to complete five courses or events on Verizon’s learning platform and post a short video on social media.

The deadline is November 22nd at 11:59 p.m. PT.

Freed Fellowship Grant: $500 – $2,500

The Freed Fellowship offers its monthly grant program to support underrepresented and overlooked small business owners. Each month, one entrepreneur receives a $500 no-strings-attached grant to invest in your company. You’ll also get access to a trial membership in the Freed Studio and a one-on-one strategy session with business experts. Additionally, winners are eligible for a $2,500 grant at the end of the year.

The next Freed Fellowship Grant deadline is November 30th.

HerRise MicroGrant: $1,000

Offered by the Yva Jourdan Foundation, the HerRise MicroGrant provides monthly $1,000 grants to under-resourced women entrepreneurs making a difference in their local communities. Winners from across the country have utilized the grant for equipment purchases, marketing materials, software and website development.

Applications are accepted monthly – the current round closes on November 30th at 11:59 p.m.

InnovateMass Program: $350,000

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) is hosting the InnovateMass Program, providing up to $350,000 in grant funding and technical support to cleantech startup companies. MassCEC is looking for companies that can address significant energy challenges and contribute to clean energy leadership in Massachusetts. Applicants must form a team that includes a Lead Applicant and at least one Demonstration Project Partner.

The next application deadline is February 18th, 2025.

The Awesome Foundation: $1,000

If you’ve got a great idea, this is the place for you! The Awesome Foundation is a global community supporting awe-inspiring projects with regular $1,000 micro-grants – no strings attached. These grants help to fund creative initiatives across a wide range of fields: art, technology, community development and more.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and grants are awarded monthly.

IFundWomen Universal Grant Application: Varies

Have 10 minutes to spare? Take the time to fill out this Universal Grant Application. When you apply, you become eligible for multiple grants from IFundWomen and its corporate partners, which include major brands like Visa, Unilever, Diageo, Vista, adidas, American Express and more. If you match the criteria of a new program, you’ll be notified.

Applications are rolling, but apply sooner to avoid missing new opportunities!

San Francisco Accessible Business Entrance Grant: Up to $10,000

Accessibility is a legal requirement, but it’s also vital to building your community. San Francisco offers grants of up to $10,000 to make concrete accessibility improvements in local businesses, such as purchasing accessible equipment, removing barriers, conducting Certified Access Specialist (CASp) inspections and covering permit fees. Eligible applicants include new or existing businesses registered in San Francisco with less than $2.5 million in gross revenue for a single location (or less than $8 million for multiple locations), and an average of 100 or fewer employees.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis based on funding availability.

Wish Local Empowerment Program: $500 – $2,000

Are you a Black-owned business? Do you run a brick-and-mortar store with 20 or fewer employees? You’re a perfect candidate for the Wish Local Empowerment Program! Winners will receive financial support to help you retain employees, cover operational costs or expand your marketing efforts. Selected recipients will be required to join Wish Local, a free program that allows small businesses to partner with Wish and access their consumer base.
