Know a great company led by a great woman? Nominate it! The Woman-Led Top Workplaces award, a partnership between Innovation Women, Lioness Magazine and Energage, is back for 2026. We’re looking for organizations doing remarkable work—and treating their people right while they do it.
Now in its third year, the award spotlights companies where women are in the top executive role and employees genuinely thrive. Winners are chosen based on confidential employee surveys covering benefits, pay, inclusion, work-life flexibility and whether employees feel respected, supported and empowered.
Who’s eligible?
Any U.S.-based organization with 150 or more employees can compete, as long as the top executive role is held by a woman. If that role is shared (i.e., co-CEOs or managing partners), at least 50 percent of those positions must be held by women. Public companies, private businesses, nonprofits, schools and government agencies are all eligible.
How does it work?
Anyone can nominate a qualifying organization, and there’s no cost to enter. Once nominated, companies invite their employees to complete a short, confidential 26-question survey that takes just a few minutes. The process is conducted by Energage, which runs Top Workplaces programs in over 70 U.S. markets and surveyed more than two million employees at over 8,000 organizations in the past year.

Winners will be featured in Lioness Magazine and Innovation Women, and recognized in the 2026 Woman-Led Top Workplaces directory.

In 2025, 191 woman-led organizations earned recognition. Nominations for 2026 are open now, so don’t let a deserving company miss its moment.
