Acquisition accelerates marketplace growth for entry-level candidates and the businesses looking to hire them.
Today LookSharp, powering InternMatch, announced that it has acquired Readyforce, a San Francisco based and privately held professional network for college students and recent grads. Over the past 18 months ReadyForce has built a powerful network with hundreds of thousands of students, recent grads, and recruiters. They’ve raised over $12 million from venture firms including Menlo Ventures, First Round Capital and US Ventures Partners.
With this acquisition, LookSharp deepens its commitment to providing next gen talent with a robust, professional selection of internships, entry-level jobs and content on workplace preparation. LookSharp is quickly becoming the go-to destination for students and recent grads looking to launch their careers. Over 50% of the US college population visits LookSharp every year. LookSharp features a wide array of jobs for students and recent grads ranging from thousands of startups to many of the Fortune 1000, including Facebook, Amazon, Charles Schwab, Disney, and Boeing.
“LookSharp’s high volume network and phenomenal user experience provides exactly the type of service we wish to bring to our customers and candidates,” says Alex Mooradian, CEO of ReadyForce.
Since its nationwide launch in 2011, LookSharp has grown more than 500% year over year with 10 million+ students and 30,000+ employers using the platform in 2014. “The ReadyForce team did tremendous work engaging a huge number of job seekers and recruiters around the critical issue of employment. We are extremely excited to welcome their amazing community to our existing network,” states LookSharp CEO, Andrew Maguire.
From LookSharp’s Student Launchpad to their Employer Branding Solutions and Business Analytics, their products make it easier for companies to connect with the right candidates. LookSharp also recently released search tools, advertising, and direct marketing services to broaden the ways that companies can activate the passive candidate market and strengthen engagement with active job seekers.
“This acquisition is great news for companies and candidates. As the market converges it helps create a one-stop shop where both job seekers and employers sides can effectively brand themselves and find matches that are right for them,” says Nathan Parcells, LookSharp VP of Student Marketing.
