International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8, 2022 is a holiday dedicated to celebrating women of all walks of life and their achievements. IWD has been recognized in one form or another in many nations for nearly a century and was celebrated for the first time internationally by the United Nations in 1975.
This year’s theme is #BreakTheBias. Want to get involved? Share your “Break the Bias” pose on social media with the hashtag or submit it to the International Women’s Day organizing body. What’s the pose? Stand up straight; cross your arms in front of you (like an X) to show that you reject inequality of all kinds and in all forms.
