TiEcon 2015, the world’s largest gathering of entrepreneurs, will become ground zero for “disruptive entrepreneurship” on May 15-16 at Silicon Valley’s Santa Clara Convention Center. This year’s conference will present, for the first time, findings of a new global study examining how start-ups are impacting market transformation and corporate innovation. It will also feature provocative sessions on a wide range transformational technology trends, including keynotes and presentations from leading innovators and hot start-ups from around the world.

The TiEcon Experience
TiEcon is where the world’s wealth connects with technology stealth to create an energizing environment for start-ups to take off. Worth Magazine recently honored TiEcon as a Top 10 Worldwide Conference for Ideas and Entrepreneurship, alongside events such as Demo, TED, and the World Economic Forum. The theme of this year’s TiEcon is “Disruptive Entrepreneurship: Break-In. Break-Out. Among the featured speakers at this year’s conference are Phil Libin, founder and CEO of Evernote; Vivek Ranadive, founder and former CEO of TIBCO and owner of the Sacramento Kings; Blanca Trevino, founder and CEO of Softek, Sanjay Mehrotra, co-founder, president and CEO of SanDisk, and Suja Chandrasekaran, CTO of WalMart, along with many others.
Dr. Sharad Sapra, the inaugural Director of UNICEF’s Global Innovation Centre, will be one of this year’s featured speakers. Dr. Sapra will announce the launch of an exciting new campaign to crowdsource breakthrough ideas and technologies for social good from the most innovative entrepreneurs around the globe. The landmark initiative calls for disruptive entrepreneurs to engage in social innovation and demonstrate how their brilliance can make a difference in the lives of underprivileged people around the globe.
TiEcon has teamed with the Business Performance Innovation (BPI) Network this year to conduct major survey to determine where, how and to what degree venture-funded startups are disrupting established markets and businesses and driving new thinking, faster innovation and transformation in enterprises worldwide.
