How to Get Leads From Twitter - Lioness MagazineLeads, LEADS, LEADS, they are the life blood of any business. Twitter has become an excellent source of endless leads. You may have heard of the guys who signed up on Monday and by Friday, they already had about a thousand followers, and half of those joined there new MLM, or bought that thing no one else could sell. What is their secret? Why can’t the average Joe in business do the same thing on Twitter? Well, I’m here to tell you … you can! There are a lot of ways. So, I am only going to discuss one of these methods in this article, and I will talk about other methods in future articles. So, keep a look out for them.

“Hello my name is… and how can I help”

“How can I help,” this is the mindset you have to have. Start getting into conversations with people and start some really good relationships. Be inspirational, be funny, and above all, be yourself. Don’t worry about you – worry about THEM. Ask if there is anything that you can do to help in there business. If you see someone with a good tweet, re-tweet what they said. Pass along that they are having a webinar; they have opened a new website, etc.. When you start showing you are interested in them and there success, they will return the favor.

Follow The Leader

You have to get yourself in a place where you will be seen. First, look at the people in your niche that have the most followers and then follow them. Then… just start talking! Remember to make your conversations meaningful. After awhile, you will start to see people come out of the wood works. Who knows, the leaders might start to pay attention to you, because you are showing yourself to be a person of value. Then, you will have those true loyal followers that see you as someone they want to network with.

Don’t Think About Numbers

When you first start out, don’t just be concerned about how many followers you have. If you have just signed up with Twitter, it might be a good thing not to have so many followers right away. Why? That sounds crazy – you might say. But, the reason for saying this is… you want to build good strong relationships initially. To do this, you have to spend time tweeting. So, try to start out with a core group of about 10 followers. Talk as much as you can, and remember, it’s about them not you. Before you know it, you will see, 20 followers, 30 followers, and so on. Now, if you have been on Twitter for a while and have developed a good following already, then you should focus on enriching your tweets and finding those core people that are interested in improving themselves like you.

So, remember, you want to help others, follow the leaders, and don’t be concerned about numbers. You may feel that I’m being redundant, but you will not believe how people don’t get that concept; you have to almost pound it into their heads. But, when they do get it, their lives change.

One last thing I have to say… The rule here is, there are no rules. Do what works best for you. But, in saying that, if you see that something isn’t working for you, then be open to some new ideas.

Happy Tweeting!
