Summer’s Almost Over, but Female Entrepreneurs Stay on Target [Networking Recording]

Summer’s like no other – school vacation, beach days, the constant ping of OOO emails… It’s usually a slow season for business, but it might actually be a golden opportunity. At our most recent edition of Lioness Networking, female entrepreneurs shared how they use these quiet months for explosive growth and fall prep.

Make the most of summer (and no, not just the good weather)

Summer can be the perfect time for strategic planning – your customers and clients might be part of the 56 percent of Americans who take a vacation between May and September. Less business means more free time. Take it from our attendees and use this time to:

  • Invent new products or offerings
  • Finish and publish your book
  • Reach out to previous clients with updates
  • Take continuing education courses or professional certifications
  • Focus on messaging and share the “fun times”
  • Take more breaks during the day
  • Check out new tech, like AI
  • Work on a creative project that doesn’t pay, but is fulfilling
  • Plan your fall campaigns
  • Schedule one-on-one meetings and follow up with previous connections
  • Reconnect with people in your network
  • Read more industry-specific books (or just for fun)
  • Set up a “dream factory” to brainstorm and plan future projects
  • Explore more international opportunities
  • Streamline your work with automations
  • Design corporate training programs
  • Establish business goals for the rest of 2024

Think of it this way: this is the time to KEEP yourself busy!

We polled our attendees to see how they feel about this summer season. Some noticed no difference at all. Others were surprised by the break. And others don’t think of it as a quiet time at all – there’s always more to learn and do.
