The National Black MBA Association is announcing FedEx as a returning partner for the 2023 Scale-Up Pitch Challenge. This initiative aligns with the Association’s mission of creating and supporting wealth-building opportunities for its members. The pitch competition offers startups the chance to gain exposure, secure funding, and connect with early-stage investors and venture capitalists.
The impact of the scale-up pitch challenge
Since 2017, the Scale-Up Pitch Challenge has proven to be a catalyst for success. Previous winners have experienced tremendous growth and investment opportunities. The competition provides a platform for our members to showcase their scalable startup ideas and gain valuable insights from industry experts.
Invitation to FORWARD thinking entrepreneurs
“We invite all FORWARD thinking entrepreneurs this September for what promises to be an amazing opportunity to receive some working capital to properly start to scale,” said Shawn Graham, NBMBAA Interim CEO. “We are so grateful that FedEx has been there consistently to help us move this association’s business owners FORWARD towards a brighter future.”
The competition structure
Ten semi-finalists will compete at the National Black MBA Association Annual Conference in Philadelphia on September 14th. Three contestants will advance to the finals on September 15th; they will have a chance to win up to $50,000 in non-dilutive funds. This funding can significantly contribute to the growth and development of their businesses.
