Eight Must-See Money Opportunities for May

Tackle your finances like a lioness!

Opportunities are just around the corner. The weather is slowly making its way up to the 70s, you may be planning a getaway or two… but we know budgeting for your business is on your mind as well. Check out these eight grants and money opportunities to keep your finances in check!

1. Coalition to Back Black Businesses

  • What: a $5,000 grant.
  • For: Black-owned businesses in a qualifying industry.
  • Deadline: Ongoing.

2. Caress Dreams Fund Grant Program

  • What: $5,000 grants.
  • For: women of color founders.
  • Deadline: May 24th, 2023.

3. The Biz-M-Power Crowdfunding Matching Grant Program

  • What: businesses will launch a crowdfunding campaign to reach a financial goal. The goal must be met to receive a 2:1 MGCC matching grant award. If businesses raise a minimum of $1,500, MGCC will award a matching grant.
  • For: small businesses in Massachusetts.
  • Deadline: May 29, 2023.

4. Houston Fund for Social Justice and Economic Equity

  • What: $8M in grants.
  • For: diversely owned small businesses and non-profit organizations in the Houston area.
  • Deadline: May 31, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. CST

5. Small Businesses Technical Assistance Program

  • What: $100K for individual organizations requests, and $175K for collaborative requests.
  • For: small businesses in Massachusetts.
  • Deadline: June 2, 2023.

6. Driving Small Business Forward

  • What: $25,000.
  • For: 10 Black-owned small businesses.
  • Deadline: June 2, 2023, at 6 p.m. ET.

7. eBay Up & Running Grants

  • What: $500,000 in grants and education resources.
  • For: 50 eBay business sellers.
  • Deadline: June 9, 2023, at 6 p.m. ET.

8. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award

  • What: up to $100K in grants.
  • For: businesses offering products or services designed to help underrepresented communities.
  • Deadline: June 30, 2023, at 6 p.m. CEST.
