WowWee, a leading manufacturer of hi-tech consumer robotic and entertainment products, proudly announces Brand Manager Sydney Wiseman, was named the Wonder Woman in Toys Creator of the Year for her astounding work with the famed Fingerlings line. Winners of the 2018 Wonder Women Awards were announced on Feb. 18 at the 14th Annual Wonder Women in Toys, Licensing, & Entertainment Awards Gala in New York City.
“Working with my remarkable team at WowWee to bring the Fingerlings line to life has been a dream come true,” said Sydney Wiseman, brand manager at WowWee.
“We worked tirelessly to create a toy that would bring friendship to all, and Fingerlings did just that. I am so honored to have received the coveted title of Creator of the Year, and empowered to continue the momentum to bring our fans even more exciting new fun from Fingerlings in the years ahead.”
Fingerlings are motion, sound, and touch enabled interactive pets that wrap around your finger and come to life with over 40 sounds and animations. Designed for children ages 5+, each Fingerling comes in many colors and creatures including the original Monkeys, the hilariously slower Sloths and the whimsically magical Unicorns.
In correspondence with the North American International Toy Fair in New York City, WIT’s Wonder Women Gala is the organization’s largest fundraiser that honors female leaders for their contributions in the toy, licensing, and entertainment industries. Winners were chosen through a combination of votes from all WIT members, as well as its board of directors and advisory board.
WowWee will be showcasing the newest members of the ever-growing Fingerlings family as well as the much anticipated licensing and entertainment expansion at the New York Toy Fair, Feb. 17-20.
