Brittany Westling, founder and CEO of Team b. Strategy +, received the Emerging Star award at the National Small Business Federal Contracting Summit (NSBFCS). The award signals a bright future for her woman-owned small business. Recipients of the award are promising contractors who received their first prime government contract award within the last two years.
The Summit is jointly hosted by the U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce (USWCC) and the American Small Business Chamber of Commerce. The event featured education and information on current trends, technical training, regulatory updates, engagement with representatives on the hill and access to federal agencies and prime contractors.
Emerging Star Award
“I’m honored that Team b. Strategy + has been recognized as an Emerging Star,” said Westling. “We’ve got 36 amazingly talented team members that share in this with me today.”
The U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce Women Contractor Awards honor the growth and achievements of women-owned contractors. About the U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce
The U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce gives voice to the collective strength of women in the U.S. economy. They use a platform of influence, innovation, and opportunity to work with their members to grow successful businesses and careers. The Women’s Chamber helps women start and build successful businesses and careers, gain access to government contracts, grow as leaders and prepare for a secure retirement.
They work to advance government policies that underpin Women’s Economic Priorities—a positive economic environment with policies, budgets, and leadership that support women as students, workers, mothers, breadwinners, caregivers, business owners, retirees, and policy leaders. They dismantle barriers that stifle sustainable business and economic growth and transform the economics of the business and labor markets. The U.S. Women’s Chamber remains staunchly “non-captive.” They are sponsored by the interests, aspirations, and needs of their members— not by big corporate sponsors who would moderate their voice or blunt their independent work. This independence powers their ability to always say and do what is right for their members.
