Qurate Retail Group Launches Series of Women’s History Month Initiatives

The retail leader is leveraging its TV, e-commerce, digital streaming and social platforms to spotlight women entrepreneurs, founders and creators.

Qurate Retail Group brands QVCHSN and Zulily, leaders in building brands through livestream video storytelling and personalized digital experiences, unveiled multiple Women’s History Month initiatives designed to elevate women-owned businesses.

Initiative highlights

  • Offering 2022 Empowerment Collections on QVC and HSN that feature products from women-owned and founded brands
  • Highlighting women-owned brands that are part of the Small Business Spotlight program
  • Presenting a dedicated International Women’s Day Celebration across QVC and HSN platforms in addition to multiple special on-air segments throughout the month

A closer look at Women’s History Month initiatives:  

QVC and HSN Empowerment Collections

Throughout March, customers can shop the Empowerment Collections on QVC and HSN. They offer a range of women-owned and founded businesses as well as products that directly support women’s empowerment.

Small Business Spotlight

Fifteen women-owned businesses outside Qurate Retail Group’s vendor base will share brand stories live on QVC and HSN or QVC2. Some will be featured in a dedicated, month-long event on Zulily, through Qurate Retail Group’s Small Business Spotlight. Now in its third year, the initiative supports entrepreneurs from underrepresented groups. Support includes national on-air and digital exposure and various other pro-bono, in-kind services. This year marks the first-time qualifying businesses will have the opportunity to sell on Zulily. QVC2 will run a special live program with participating women-owned businesses on March 15. Special programming

Throughout the month, customers can join live celebrations highlighting women-owned or founded brands on QVC and HSN’s digital and broadcast platforms:

QVC & HSN International Women’s Day Celebration: On International Women’s Day, Tuesday, March 8, QVC featured a Today’s Special Value from 8Greens, a woman-owned supplement brand. HSN presented 18 hours of programming to exclusively celebrate women-owned and founded businesses, including a Today’s Special from TV personality, entrepreneur and author Bethenny Frankel’s apparel line, Skinnygirl.

Donation to Soroptimist International of the Americas 

QVC and HSN are making a donation of $100,000 to the global nonprofit to ensure every woman and girl can reach her full potential. Soroptimist International of the Americas provides advocacy and action opportunities that spread awareness about women-related causes. These include access to education, empowering girls, and ending violence against women in more than 100 countries. QVC and HSN are also inviting customers to add their own donations when shopping the QVC and HSN Empowerment Collections.
