Want to learn how to take your sales pitches, speaking engagements and presentations from trash to straight CASH, or have your prospects throwing money at you every time you open your mouth? Then, it’s time to learn how to convert conversations into currency with me, the Rainmaking Speaker, Precious L. Williams.
With almost 30 years of experience in sales, communication and pitching, I have the tools and tenacity to teach clients how to pitch with power, sell with storytelling and develop a masterful mindset for any situation. Whether my client is a company, law firm, professional school, entrepreneur, business leader, salesperson or individual, I can show them how to slay all competition and become the ONLY choice that matters.
I went from being the hood girl from St. Louis to a talented attorney to a serial entrepreneur, international professional speaker, five-time #1 bestselling author and Fortune 100 Corporate Sales Trainer. All because I took my skills and used them in different industries!
What inspired you to start your business?
I have been speaking professionally since I was 16 years old. Later, I became an attorney but grew out of love with being a litigator. I was looking to do something new but what? Then I met an incredible man, and he had me looking at myself differently. I was 327 pounds and feeling lost yet he saw beauty in me. I had my answer: start a lingerie company for full-figured divas and plus-size fashionistas!
No one believed I could do it until I pitched live on TV and walked away with $500K in 54 seconds. I went on to win 13 national pitch competitions, which led me to start a pitch training company, Perfect Pitches by Precious, where I have trained over 500 1st place pitch champions. I then started training students at Ivy League institutions, PWIs and top HBCUs.
When I realized that my pitching skills included being able to train sales teams at companies, corporations, foundations and nonprofits, I set my sights on reaching these organizations, and the rest is history. My company rebranded in 2023 to Perfect Pitch Group because our clientele changed, and we are better able to service them!
What was the first step to starting your business?
Believing that my company would succeed without me being a celebrity or having great connections. It happened because I used all the tools in my communication arsenal to #slayallcompetition and create my own lane! Writing a business plan and teaching myself how to pitch differently!
Who’s a female entrepreneur that inspires you?
My grandmother is my greatest inspiration. I am surrounded by wonderful, talented and skilled entrepreneurial women today and for the last few years. However, my grandma, not an entrepreneur, inspired me to create my own path in life. I never wanted to be anyone else in this business game. No matter how much money, resources or success other have, I have something inside me that wants to create a unique path that is not based on entertainment or sports. I want to stand tall and do it my way!
What’s a business myth you’d love to bust?
Black woman entrepreneurs can only make it in entertainment and sports, otherwise, we have no value. None of that is true.
I am a speaker and trainer. I bring BIG energy, funk and flair to every space I enter and I enter BOLDLY and want you to notice me and the results my clients rave about!
What’s one mistake you made early on in your business, and what did you learn from it?
Not trusting my gut. I learned that as I got older, my gut knows instinctively who to do business with and who not to. When I was younger, I let others decide this because of popularity or their clients. I know better now. According to the data 15 years ago, I couldn’t create a lingerie company celebrating the beauty of curvy women. Yet I did. My gut and intuition knew what the data did not know or take into consideration. It led me to become the #KillerPitchMaster, a 13x national pitch champion, bestselling author, international speaker and keynote, host of TV shows and leads in movies and documentaries!
Describe your company in three words.
BOLD. Powerful. #SlayAllCompetition.
What’s your proudest business milestone so far?
Coming back to my company after being homeless for two years and restarting with a BANG. When everyone gave up on me, I went all in on my skill sets and proved why I am better today in training, speaking and teaching than I ever was before. My company’s results speak for themselves and our testimonials are real. Real receipts and I keep getting better just like my clients!
What excites you about your work?
My clients! Seeing them achieve what they once thought was impossible! And them coming back again and again!

- Packaging: Package yourself in signature colors and a signature look, and make sure your marketing materials and who you are online match offline.
- Positioning: Are you the Kia, Lexus or Rolls Royce of your industry? If you do not know, ask your trusted network. This will determine if you are worth paying for, how much and if it’s an honor to be associated with your brand.
