It is an exciting time to explore Western Massachusetts and all of the possibilities for investment. The Western Massachusetts Developers Conference is a regional event aimed at connecting regional leaders and economic development specialists with brokers, site selectors, investors, and others interested in learning about the exciting development opportunities of the region. The conference will be hosted at the Basketball Hall of Fame on June 26 at 8 a.m.
The conference will highlight Western Massachusetts as an exceptional place to invest, start, and grow businesses and will feature Roger Crandall, chairman, president and CEO of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company as the Keynote luncheon speaker. A top 100 company on the Fortune 500, MassMutual has been recognized as a leader in the industry and an innovative employer. Crandall will share why this Springfield-based company calls Western Massachusetts home.
In addition, the day will include information on “shovel ready” development opportunities, a review of the Western Mass Value Proposition, a CEO panel sharing how the region supports business growth, and a review of recent major infrastructure investments and projects on the horizon, such as the proposed MGM Resort Casino in Springfield. Each attendee can also choose one of three curated tours including a walking tour of downtown Springfield, Pioneer Valley south, and Pioneer Valley North. The day-long event includes a light breakfast, lunch, tours and reception.
This event is being coordinated by key area organizations including the Economic Development Council (EDC) of Western MA, Economic Development Partners (EDP), MassDevelopment and MassEcon.
