July Jackpot: Grant Opportunities You Can’t Miss

July is here, and it’s the perfect time for your business to experience its own explosive growth with these grants! This list highlights various grants and programs with deadlines this month, providing key support for small businesses and founders looking to expand. Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) & Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Programs

The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, known as America’s Seed Fund, offer non-dilutive federal funding to small businesses developing technology solutions for government needs. To be eligible, your business must have fewer than 500 employees and be working on technology that could support federal missions. The NASA SBIR Ignite Phase I 2025 solicitation is currently open. 

Deadline: July 22, 2025

The Freed Fellowship Grant

The Freed Fellowship provides $500 monthly grants to U.S.-based small business owners, with an opportunity for an additional $2,500 year-end grant. The program specifically encourages applications from women, minorities and other underrepresented or overlooked business owners. Beyond the grant, applicants receive feedback on their business using the 5C Framework and a two-month free membership to Freed Studio, an online community for entrepreneurs. 

Deadline: July 31, 2025 

HerRise MicroGrant (HerSuiteSpot)

The HerRise MicroGrant, offered by HerSuiteSpot, provides $1,000 monthly grants to under-resourced women entrepreneurs, including women of color. These grants help cover various business needs, such as equipment, marketing or website creation. To be eligible, companies must be 51 percent owned by women, registered in the U.S. and have less than $1 million in gross revenue. 

Deadline: July 31, 2025 

STREETS International Global Awards

The STREETS Global Awards celebrate early-stage social enterprises in hospitality and tourism, offering two $10,000 awards, global recognition, mentorship and networking. Mission-driven businesses (one to five years old) must submit their online application. Judging criteria include governance, social impact, innovation, and financial transparency. 

Deadline: August 15, 2025 

High Five Grant for Moms (The Mama Ladder)

The High Five Grant for Moms helps mompreneurs in the US or Canada. To qualify, their businesses must have earned between $10,000 and $500,000 last year. This grant aims to help mothers grow their businesses to one million in revenue.  

Applications typically open on September 1. 

NASE Growth Grant (National Association for the Self-Employed)

The NASE Growth Grant program offers up to $4,000 to NASE members to help their small businesses with needs like marketing, hiring or facility expansion. Applications sent in July, August and September get looked at in October. To be eligible, applicants must be NASE members in good standing (with some membership types requiring a 90-day waiting period) and submit a business plan, recent tax return or P&L, statement of grant use and a photo. 

Deadline: September 30, 2025 

EmpowHER Grant (Boundless Futures Foundation)

The EmpowHER Grant, offered by the Boundless Futures Foundation, provides up to $25,000 in business support to female entrepreneurs in the U.S. whose businesses create positive social impact. Businesses are eligible if they are three years or younger, earn revenue and focus on issues like poverty, the environment or building strong communities. Applicants must be at least 22 years old, agree to a credit score and background check and provide a business plan and budget. Applications are accepted at the beginning of July. 

Deadline: September 30, 2025 

ZenBusiness $5K Grant Program

The ZenBusiness $5K Grant Program awards $5,000 to over 40 small businesses annually and access to certain ZenBusiness products and services. To be eligible, applicants must be current ZenBusiness customers who formed their U.S.-based, community-benefiting business within the last three to sixth months and are at least 18 years old. Applications run until December 31, 2025. They get looked at every three months, based on when you send them in. 

Entries are accepted throughout the year and reviewed quarterly.
