Social Impact Enterprise and Business Accelerator, femmebought, Announces New Co-CEOs

Chicago and Toronto-based business accelerator femmebought announced that the board of directors has named two new co-CEOs. Kristine Givens and Kirsten Ramos assumed the roles in May 2021. They succeed co-founder Sophia Ruffolo, who will continue to serve on the board of directors.

femmebought is, above all, a social impact community and women’s business accelerator.

A community for experienced entrepreneurs

femmebought is currently in the process of expanding its Impact Accelerator and peer community. This peer community aims to chiefly support experienced women business owners. Givens and Ramos will bring strong leadership and strategic growth opportunities to femmebought during this process.

The two women are energetic, strategic entrepreneurs and business leaders with a wealth of leadership experience. They both possess a passion for femmebought’s mission of accelerating the growth of women-owned businesses. Together, they will surely expand access for individuals to a community of like-minded women business owners who network, skill build and strategize together through the business accelerator.

An evolving business accelerator program

femmebought also announced that Kirsten Ramos will become the new President of the femmebought Impact Accelerator. Ramos has 15 years of experience in leadership development and as a strategic advisor to women entrepreneurs. As a result of her experience, she is perfectly positioned to expand the Impact Accelerator, which offers mentorship, expert advice, strategic planning and peer group accountability. It also provides strategy resources designed to grow and scale up women-owned businesses.

The pilot of the Impact Accelerator and Scholarship Program launched in January 2021. Since then, femmebought has seen the 15 participants successfully scale, hire, pitch and accelerate the growth of their businesses exponentially. Ramos’ mandate, with the support of co-CEO Givens, will be to grow the program. This growth includes the scholarship program for minority women and women in underrepresented communities. Sixty-six percent of program participants are minority women.

Givens’ mandate, with the support of Ramos, will be to grow the femmebought Visionary community. This is a space where women come together to network, problem solve, share, learn and grow with the support of like-minded women business owners.
