HOLYOKE, MASS. — SPARK EforAll Holyoke, a program accelerating economic and social impact through entrepreneurship in mid-sized cities, recently announced Lioness CEO Dawn Leaks as the keynote speaker at the SPARK EforAll Holyoke Summer Accelerator Showcase & Celebration on Sept. 17 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Wistariahurst Museum, located at 238 Cabot St.
Based in Massachusetts, Entrepreneurship for All (EforAll) has nine locations, including one in the city of Longmont, Colo. This will be SPARK EforAll Holyoke’s second accelerator program in the Pioneer Valley. The intensive 12-week program started this May with eight promising businesses ranging from a mobile tailor service to a Spanish language comic book series to a pizza and wine bar.
Leaks, head of burgeoning online news company Lioness, is no stranger to accelerators. Lioness is the graduate of two New England accelerators, including Valley Venture Mentors in Springfield and social entrepreneurship accelerator reSET in Hartford, Conn., where her team finished in the Top 8 finalists.
Lioness is an American, women-owned online publisher of news, trends and insights on female entrepreneurship around the globe. Leaks’ keynote will highlight her personal experiences in restructuring a startup for growth and success, navigating accelerator programs and key tips to guide entrepreneurs on their startup journeys.
”I’m honored to speak to SPARK EforAll Holyoke’s second graduating cohort. EforAll has brought such richness to the eastern Massachusetts startup ecosystems and I’m glad it’s found an additional home in Holyoke,” Leaks said. “Aspiring entrepreneurs need support and resources and I’m thrilled that entrepreneurs in Greater Springfield now have an additional resource in EforAll. SPARK Holyoke breathed new life into the Holyoke business community and by partnering with EforAll they’ve strengthened and expanded the assistance they can bring to new members of our local business community.”
Winners of the SPARK EforAll Holyoke Summer Accelerator Showcase & Celebration will share in a $5,000 prize pool that will be announced at the celebration. To attend, register for your free spot.
