How long have you been in business?

Over five years.

Why have you chosen to dedicate yourself to this particular business/industry?

I am truly passionate about owning [my] own business as an income stream and I want to help everyone who wants to do the same learn how to take an idea and create a business from it.

What makes business/product unique?

I can assist people from any stage to open a business whether they are still in idea phase or near ready to hang out their shingle. I also offer “Pay Me By the Minute” consults so individuals ONLY pay for the amount of consultation/assistance they want or need to grow their business. It is an extremely cost effective way to get expert help without breaking your budget.

You could have worked for anyone and would have been successful, why become an entrepreneur?

Being an entrepreneur allows me to have unlimited income, flexibility and choice of who I work with. In addition I am able to determine my own parameters for how and when I want my business to expand. As an entrepreneur, I can work for my dreams rather than for the dreams an employer may have.

What was your last, “why did I go into business for myself” moment?

I don’t think I have the “why did I go into business for myself” moments but more the “why didn’t I go into business for myself SOONER moments!”

Every female professional should have __________.

A career Plan B for the rest of their life!

If you could steal some business mojo from another mogul, who would it be and why?

I like Christine Kane’s advice: “Results happen when you take action, not when you have a great idea” because it defines the step you must take to move into the business arena.

What is your business motto?

You can easily go from Burned Out to Fired Up when you take your passion and make it happen.

If you could give other entrepreneurs three tips, what would they be?

Stop waiting for perfect timing to build your dream career;

The most important knowledge you can acquire is to know who your ideal client is and what problems or needs they are facing;

The value of anything you need to invest in is far more important than the cost.

Has there been a piece of technology or software that has been a lifesaver to you?

I love Camtasia for recording Podcasts and giving me opportunities to “talk” to my tribe regularly.

What is your goal for the next year?

To provide an intensive boot camp training for individuals who want to launch an idea into a business in a very short time (less than three months).

When someone is telling their friend about your business, what do you hope they say?

I often hear, “Kathy was the go-to person for getting my business off the ground successfully,” or “Kathy, helped me leave my day job for my dream job.” So, I hope I would continue to hear those types of testimonies.
