Things To Add To Your To-Do List

  1. When you can’t afford a publicist, you start to feel like your PR is suffering – and it probably is. Here’s how to make the best of it on your own, and it starts with a press kit.
  2. Read the latest edition of Lioness! This week we dropped the June issue and cover star Kathryn Finney is giving us brilliance and education in one sitting.

Things To Meditate On

  1. Where are you in terms of accomplishing your goals for 2016? Coach Dawn gives women entrepreneurs a mid-year check in with exercises for you to complete.
  2. As startup founders we bootstrap everything. Are you considering ways to make residual income? Real estate might be a great investment. Stefani Markowitz allows us to take a peek behind the professional curtain.

What Your Peers Were Doing This Week

  1. Nicole Anthony is busy building L District,  a hot startup based in Minneapolis, is gaining momentum in their beta as they develop a platform dedicated to the holistic approach to virtual networking.
  2. Kate Maloney is spreading the word about the RiseUP Movement, including its soon-to-be released film. Entrepreneur rockstars like Blake Mycoskie, founder of TOMS Shoes; Miki Agrawal, CEO of Thinx; and John Mackey, CEO of Whole Foods, are involved and Maloney said they are ready to take a stand for conscious businesses to be the new model of success and leading the way to a more global community.

Last But Not Least (some empowerment)

Everyone talks about getting a mentor, but finding the right mentor is key. A woman should always have at least three types of people in her corner –

  1. a woman to coach and guide you through your growth, because ruling the world requires you to stretch yourself emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
  2. a woman who has already successfully done what you’re trying to do so she can teach you how to get there.
  3. a successful male to give her another perspective and outlook.
