RiseUP The Movie is a culture-shifting documentary to articulate new emergent models around the concepts of prosperity, success and contribution. Executive Producer Kate Maloney said, “in many ways, our current model of success is destroying the planet and driving billions of people to unfulfilled lives. RiseUP the movie and the movement is about giving rise to individuals and businesses that do good – and do well.”

The film includes some of today’s most brilliant minds and accomplished, high-impact leaders of to redefine success to uplift and empower people to live radically fulfilled, purpose driven lives. “Success used to be a standard of something like ‘go to school, become a doctor, make lots of money, buy house, get married, have kids,’” Maloney, 43, explained. “Which can be success for some people, but holding everyone to that type of standard just isn’t the definition of success. We’re rewriting this concept so we can create a paradigm that works for individuals and for the world.

We believe that at the heart of success is about fulfillment. Fulfillment for you personally and for everyone and everything around you. RiseUP is about finding your unique gifts that only you can give to the word, then using those incredible talents to give back to the people around you. If you’re a successful multimillion entrepreneur, awesome! Go and create companies that are economically successful, and also do well in the world through things like giving back to the employees, community, and environment. If you’re an adventurer who just travels the world with the clothes on your back, awesome! Go out and see the world and give back to the world around you in your own unique way. It’s not about the car you drive, the number on your bank account, or the clothes you wear—success is about being who you are and feeling fulfilled in everything that you do and making a positive impact in the world.”

Entrepreneur rockstars like Blake Mycoskie, founder of TOMS Shoes; Miki Agrawal, CEO of Thinx; and John Mackey, CEO of Whole Foods, are involved and Maloney said they are ready to take a stand for conscious businesses to be the new model of success and leading the way to a more global community.

“Nowadays people want to have more than just a stack of money to point to. People want fulfilled lives for themselves and the people around them as well. The ‘cool’ thing now is to create great companies that have meaningful impact on the world, both through the products they produce and the service they give back to the world,” Maloney said.

The RiseUP team has reached their critical fundraising milestones and the film is in final production. They are hoping to have it completed in time to submit it for the Academy Award process, as well as other film festivals. In addition to the film, they are gearing up for The RiseUP Summit in Santa Barbara, Calif. on Feb. 23-26, 2017 featuring some of the greatest minds behind the RiseUP movement. At the RiseUP Summit they will have speakers, interactive Q&As, intimate performances by artists, private film screenings, nightly parties and receptions. Maloney said the summit will be a “high-energy, high-impact experience that is designed to leave you, and everyone involved, transformed and inspired by a new model of success to incite personal, social and global change.”

She said the number one way for anyone to join the RiseUP Movement is to RiseUP in your own life. “You can take action by showing up for the world in the way that only you can. Find your unique talents and give back to the world around you. You’re an amazing teacher? Go out and teach your passion to everyone around you! Incredible artist? Use your talent to share beauty in the world and inspire change for a global community that works for everyone. Whatever your gift is, share it with the world,” Maloney added.
